As a consultant and practitioner, Hari focuses on a range of land restoration projects, including Miyawaki afforestation, establishing nature labs in educational institutions, creating industrial green walls, promoting agroforestry, and conducting training programs on barren land restoration.
In addition to his environmental initiatives, Hari has a strong interest in Indian culture, heritage, and responsible tourism. As the founding Managing Partner of Invis Multimedia, he played a key role in developing Kerala: The Green Symphony (1998), India’s first cross-platform CD-ROM (Win-Mac), which marked a significant milestone in Kerala’s digital media landscape. Under his leadership, Symphony Celestial (2003), the first DVD series on Indian classical dances with English subtitles, was also produced. He served as the founding Managing Director of Invis Pvt. Ltd., and is also known as Hari-Invis. Invis launched India Video in 2008, the first YouTube channel dedicated to Indian culture and heritage.
In 2013, Hari collaborated with Guru Dr. Pali Chandra to launch an online Kathak dance learning program, which evolved into Natyasutra Online, a digital platform for learning Indian classical dances.
As an author, Hari has written three books, including co-translating the Malayalam edition of Prof. Akira Miyawaki’s The Healing Power of Forests. He has also created numerous videos on culture, tourism, heritage, afforestation, land restoration, and responsible tourism.
In 2024, in collaboration with AGES, Hari established the Miyawaki Nature Lab at Puliyarakonam, Thiruvananthapuram, to promote eco-restoration and climate resilience through community-based education.
